to bring a bag lunch however, as the caterer has
been given our numbers of lunches.
If you cannot attend the entire day, please come to
the beautiful Advent Taize Prayer Service at 2 p.m.

Advent Day of Prayer
For Men and Women, Ages 18-108
The Day will include Mass, your choice of two prayer experiences, and a beautiful candlelit Taize' Prayer Service.
Prayer Experiences (Choose Two)
Centering Prayer - Participants will learn to quiet themselves and be in God’s presence.
Praying in a Monastic Way - Using Gregorian Chant, participants will pray in a contemplative style following the
rhythms of a monastic day.
Journaling as Prayer - Participants will experience writing as a way of communicating
with God and listening for His response
Praying in Nature - Participants will connect with the Creator through an
experiential activity in nature.
Praying in Color - Participants will experience intercessory prayer in a joyful and
playful way through simple drawing.
Praying the Examen of St. Ignatius – Participants will learn a method of praying to discover the movement of the
Holy Spirit in their daily lives.
Creating a Prayer Shawl – Participants will experience intercessory prayer through
the art of crocheting a prayer shawl (experience in crocheting needed)
Lectio Divina – Participants will listen to the texts of Scripture as if they were in
conversation with God.
